As a seeker of spiritual experiences in keeping with the philosophies of the Far East, I was fortunate to have a chance encounter with a community of carp at Smith Mountain Lake. Though the water was murky and grey and the fish showed little color, I was pleased to discover a method of cutting through the muck and printing their likenesses on Watercolor Paper in a technique I call the "Pure Color Process."
